Our 32nd Annual Boxcar Pinion Memorial Bluegrass Festival will be held May 2nd, 3rd and 4th, 2024, at historic Mountain Cove Farms in Walker County, Georgia. From the earliest Native American inhabitants to the frontier days through the Civil War, the Great Depression, privation, and times of plenty, those who have lived with this land have come to cherish its natural beauty and to appreciate its abundance. Surrounded by pristine views of Lookout Mountain, Pigeon Mountain, and the rolling fields of the valley, the bands will entertain in the Show Barn, a uniquely venue that combines the beauty of McLemore Cove with the ring of bluegrass music.
!! WARNING !! Dougherty Gap Road off of Highway 157 from the top of Lookout Mountain is open to traffic, although it is recommended if you are in a camper or bus to reroute your GIS to take you to the festival from Highway 136/Highway 193.
